About Us

Who Are We?

The team behind Holly House Day Nursery have a long history in Childcare. From humble beginnings in primary school teaching, the Directors went on to found two of the most successful nurseries in Doncaster: Small World Day Nursery in Hatfield was founded in 2003 and went on to become a 100 place nursery. St. Marys Day Nursery was founded in 2009 and went on to become a 170 place nursery. Both nurseries were sold in 2019, and at this stage both were Ofsted Outstanding, and both were at full capacity.

EDUCATION

Your child will learn in a safe, warm and accepting environment. Our atmosphere enables children to respect themselves and others. Through diverse creative experiences, we enhance children’s ability to socialise with others, be creative, express themselves and develop. We provide a high quality educational program, one which we are always improving.

HEALTHY EATING

One of the most important factors for parents when choosing a nursery is healthy eating and high quality ingredients for meals. As a result, all food is freshly prepared on site each day by our resident chef Pam, pictured below, from high quality local suppliers. The nursery kitchen has also gained a 5 star hygiene certification.

It is also important that children develop a love of healthy eating at a young age as their relationship with food is something they carry with them throughout their entire lives.

OUR MENUS

Our varied and seasonal menus teach children that dinner doesn't always have to be followed by dessert and that trying new food is exciting, not scary.

We educate our children on where their food comes from and help them to understand how it affects their bodies, helping them to make healthy choices now and in the future.

We regularly introduce new dishes, ingredients, tastes and textures to our children and will always serve a fantastic nutritionally balanced menu that is healthy and delicious.
